About the Role

The Area Manager Collections – Specialized Asset Management (SAM) at Mobilink Microfinance Bank Ltd. (MMBL) is responsible for overseeing end-to-end recovery activities for defaulted, specialized, and charged-off portfolios in the assigned area. This role ensures disciplined field execution, portfolio continuity, compliance with recovery standards, and achievement of recovery targets, in alignment with SAM strategies and governance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute approved recovery strategies for 90+ DPD, management-declared default, and charge-off portfolios.

• Drive focused recovery efforts aimed at settlement, regularization, or resolution.

• Monitor portfolio momentum and prevent stagnation.

• Support escalation of cases to asset-backed recovery or litigation as required.

• Directly supervise Team Leads and FCDOs in the assigned area.

• Ensure:

  • Proper customer coverage

  • Timely field visits

  • Accurate recording of visits, calls, and PTPs

• Conduct field reviews and validate recovery interaction quality.

• Enforce zero tolerance for:

  • Cash collection in the field

  • Harassment or unethical practices

  • Unauthorized commitments

• Ensure correct allocation and tagging of default accounts among FCDOs.

• Manage account reallocation promptly in case of staff resignation, absence, or attrition.

• Ensure strict adherence to:

  • SAM SOPs

  • Fair Debt Collection Guidelines

  • SBP and internal regulatory requirements

• Act as the first control checkpoint for field recovery compliance.

• Escalate breaches or compliance issues to the Regional Manager without delay.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s preferred).

• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in:

  • Collections

  • Recovery

  • NPL / default portfolio management

• Proven experience in field team leadership is mandatory.
