Job Overview

NADRA is seeking a skilled Assistant Director (Java Backend Developer) to design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable backend systems supporting mission-critical national platforms. The role involves building high-performance microservices, managing APIs, and contributing throughout the software development lifecycle in an agile environment.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (4 years) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

• Master’s degree will be preferred

• Minimum 16 years of HEC-verified education is mandatory

• All degrees must be attested by HEC

Professional Experience

• Preferably 3 years of relevant experience in Java backend development or similar roles

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy secure microservices and RESTful APIs

• Manage the complete software development lifecycle using agile methodologies

• Develop and maintain data access layers for relational and NoSQL databases

• Implement, manage, and monitor services in containerized environments

• Ensure system performance, reliability, and security

• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code; troubleshoot production issues

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Security

• Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, Kafka, and API Management (WSO2)

• Good understanding of security protocols: JWT, OAuth 2.0, TLS/SSL, PKI, encryption

• Experience with RDBMS (Oracle, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB)

• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines

• Ability to work in morning and evening shifts

Terms & Conditions

• Appointment will be on a contract basis with a 6-month probation period (extendable if required)
