Role Overview
The Branch Manager at Mobilink Microfinance Bank Limited (MMBL) is responsible for leading branch operations to achieve financial, operational, and service excellence. This role focuses on driving loan and deposit growth, ensuring efficient branch functioning, maintaining cost discipline, and upholding the bank’s reputation while delivering exceptional customer service.
The Branch Manager acts as the overall in-charge of the branch, ensuring it operates as a profitable and self-sustaining revenue center.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and motivate the branch team to achieve assigned financial and service-level objectives.

Plan and manage branch operations with a strong focus on loan and deposit acquisition within approved budgets.

Achieve and maintain self-funding status by balancing loans and deposits.

Ensure strict expense control and promote a culture of frugality aligned with microfinance dynamics.

Perform credit officer responsibilities, including loan evaluation and approval coordination.

Oversee all operational and administrative functions of the branch.

Ensure timely opening and closing of the branch as per approved schedules.

Establish clear procedures for smooth branch opening and closing with defined staff responsibilities.

Optimize branch workflow to ensure maximum productivity and effective resource utilization.

Conduct capacity planning and coordinate with the hub for staffing and functional requirements.

Manage collections and recovery processes to keep delinquencies and losses within approved limits.

Ensure accuracy, efficiency, and integrity in all financial and operational transactions.

Plan and manage daily cash requirements to avoid idle or non-productive cash holdings.

Arrange training and development initiatives to enhance staff performance and leadership capabilities.

Conduct regular self-assessments and prepare the branch for internal, external, and SBP audits.

Safeguard the bank’s reputation by ensuring compliance, integrity, and accurate financial reconciliation.
Eligibility Criteria
-
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Commerce, or a related field from a reputable institution.

MBA will be preferred (subject to approval).

Minimum 5 years of relevant banking or microfinance experience, preferably in a managerial role.
