Position Overview

FDO is seeking qualified and experienced professionals for the position of Renewable Energy (RE) Expert. The selected candidate will provide technical oversight, coordination, and quality assurance for solar energy products financed under the Islamic Microfinance Program.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Business Development and Islamic Microfinance teams to design and execute sales and outreach strategies for solar products.

• Act as the technical focal person between FDO, solar vendors, and IMFP clients for product distribution, installation, and after-sales support.

• Deliver technical guidance, mentoring, and support to field teams, including preparation of technical documentation and reports.

• Coordinate with suppliers and field staff across project districts to ensure smooth and timely project implementation under the PRIME Program.

• Implement quality assurance frameworks and ensure compliance with approved technical standards.

• Prepare and submit monthly and periodic progress reports.

• Develop technical checklists and assist in installation monitoring of completed systems.

• Review inspection reports and ensure timely follow-up and issue resolution.

Qualification & Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Renewable Energy, Electrical, or related discipline).

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in microfinance, renewable energy, PV solar systems, or solar product implementation.

• Hands-on experience with solar PV systems, including off-grid and hybrid solutions with battery storage.

• Strong understanding of solar home systems and renewable energy solutions suitable for rural settings.
