About the Role

A General Banking Officer (GBO) at Mobilink Microfinance Bank Ltd. plays a vital role in delivering seamless branch operations and exceptional customer service. This position is responsible for handling core banking activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining operational accuracy, and supporting customers with their banking needs.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and capable of managing multiple operational responsibilities in a fast-paced branch environment.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Branch Operations

• Deliver efficient and professional customer service in line with defined service quality standards.

• Manage account opening processes and related operational activities (dormancy marking/removal, stop payments, account closures, SOA issuance, deceased marking, level migration, etc.).

• Handle customer queries and complaints within defined TAT and provide appropriate solutions.

• Guide walk-in customers and promote relevant banking products and services.

Non-Financial & Clearing Operations

• Process all non-financial transactions accurately as per SOPs.

• Input clearing instruments and manage return marking.

• Perform FT/TT and clearing entries with accuracy.

• Scan and upload SS cards daily.

• Prepare and maintain operational reports for submission to Branch Management and Head Office.

Cash & Teller Operations (Backup Support)

• Act as backup Teller when required.

• Process cash deposits and withdrawals as per Operations Manual.

• Ensure cash sorting compliance as per SBP Clean Notes Policy.

• Identify and report counterfeit notes.

• Perform end-of-day cash balancing (Physical Cash vs. T24 system).

• Maintain cash balancing register, SBP sheets, vault position, and other cash reports.

• Ensure secure cash transfer between till and vault at start and end of day.

Administrative & Compliance Duties

• Maintain and reconcile fixed asset inventory through annual physical verification.

• Act as joint custodian of security stationery, cheque books, ATM cards, keys, and stamps.

• Manage issuance/destruction of cheque books, Banker's Cheques, and TDRs with proper balancing.

• Review and reconcile Sundry and Suspense accounts.

• Maintain all branch registers and records accurately and up to date.

• Support branch administration in coordination with CSM/BM.

• Participate in Gold Loan assessments.

Eligibility Criteria

• Bachelor’s degree from a reputable institution (relevant field preferred).

• Minimum 2 years of relevant banking experience.

• Strong knowledge of branch banking operations and regulatory requirements.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
