Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Technical Sales Officer to lead sales growth and demand generation initiatives within the assigned territory. The ideal candidate will possess strong agricultural knowledge, excellent relationship management skills, and the ability to drive commercial performance through effective team and channel management.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver assigned sales budget with proper monthly phasing.

  • Maintain forecast accuracy above 80% with consistent month-on-month delivery.

  • Execute demand generation activities including Field Meetings (FM), Field Days (FD), and product demonstrations to ensure timely inventory liquidation.

  • Drive revenue growth through structured sales planning and territory execution.

  • Lead, train, and coach Field Officers; conduct action planning and monitor field activities.

  • Manage distribution channels including target setting, monthly business reviews, motivation, and onboarding of new partners in vacant BSAs.

  • Provide regular market intelligence updates, including competitor activities and market trends.

  • Develop New Product Introductions (NPI) through impactful demonstrations and strong engagement with growers, channel partners, and arhties.

  • Execute sales campaigns and company policies effectively in the territory.

  • Allocate resources efficiently including field force deployment and channel establishment.

  • Expand geographical coverage through proactive field and channel expansion strategies.

  • Manage stakeholder relationships including EIs, arhties, sub-dealers, value chain partners, and institutions.

  • Monitor channel inventory, liquidation status, and placement of goods (POG).

  • Handle customer complaints professionally and ensure prompt resolution.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key regional influencers such as lead growers, market yard vendors, value chain partners, and government officials.

  • Ensure timely collections and maintain targeted Days’ Sales Outstanding (DSO) levels.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture (preferably Plant Breeding or Horticulture).

  • 3–4 years of relevant sales experience in the agriculture sector.

  • MBA (Agriculture) will be considered an added advantage.
