About the Role:

As an Area Sales Manager, you will lead on-ground indirect sales within the assigned territory through the franchise channel, converting market opportunities into sales growth. You will drive business performance, manage franchises, and ensure a superior customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Franchise Management

  • Communicate targets effectively and monitor performance.

  • Conduct market visits to gather insights and track competitors.

  • Plan routes and set targets for RSOs.

  • Monitor profitability and staffing at franchise outlets.

  • Motivate and train franchise and retail staff.

  • Ensure franchise compliance with PTA regulations and company SOPs.

Distribution Management

  • Expand retail footprint to improve product and service availability.

  • Improve sales quality across all verticals.

  • Monitor channel investments and trends.

Projects & Strategic Initiatives

  • Execute key strategic projects aligned with organizational goals.

  • Work on assigned projects to enhance sales and distribution performance.

Impactful Goals / KPIs:

  • Achieve monthly and annual targets via effective franchise management.

  • Drive growth in revenue from primary & secondary recharge, devices, financial services, and internet offerings.

  • Improve market share and location-based business KPIs.

  • Ensure franchise and retail staff are trained and engaged.

Your Career Path:

  • Growth within Indirect Sales Channel roles.

  • Opportunities in S&D Operations, S&D Planning, or Trade Marketing (regional/national).

  • Transition to Direct/Corporate Sales within the Business Solutions department.

What We’re Looking For:

Education:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in any field (business-related preferred).

Experience:

  • Sales and/or distribution experience in an organization with a sizable network.

  • Team leadership experience preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong team management and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent communication in English (verbal & written).

  • Analytical mindset with business acumen.

  • Proactive, customer-centric, and solution-oriented.

  • Organized, capable of handling multiple projects.

  • Knowledge of corporate culture and values.
