🚀 About the Role

Telenor Pakistan is looking for a dynamic Manager Data Science to drive AI/ML innovation and data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role focuses on developing and deploying advanced data science models, generative AI solutions, and predictive analytics to support business growth and customer-centric strategies.

You will collaborate closely with Business Units, Marketing, CLM, CVM, and Technology teams to translate complex data into actionable insights and automated, AI-powered solutions.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

• Design and deploy AI/ML models to solve high-impact business problems

• Develop predictive models and machine learning algorithms (including ensemble modeling)

• Lead generative AI and LLM initiatives to enhance automation and personalization

• Support NBO (Next Best Offer), CVM/CLM campaigns through advanced analytics

• Perform data wrangling, preprocessing (structured & unstructured), and large-scale analysis

• Automate data collection and identify valuable data sources

• Present insights using data visualization techniques

• Collaborate with engineering, BI, commercial, and product teams

• Lead knowledge-sharing sessions on AI advancements and best practices

• Promote a strong data-driven culture across the organization

• Understand business challenges and design AI-driven solutions

• Perform SQL-based data aggregation and transformation

• Build and deploy ML models using Python

• Work closely with BI, Segments, Marketing, Technology & Commercial teams

• Strengthen data-based decision-making culture

🎓 Education & Experience

Education:

• BS in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Engineering, or related field

• MS in Data Science/AI or quantitative discipline (Preferred)

Experience:

• 4–5 years as Data Scientist or AI Engineer

• Experience with LLMs and generative AI

• Telecom industry experience (BI/DWH, CLM, CVM) preferred

• Customer lifecycle management exposure in Telecom

💡 Required Skills

• Strong expertise in AI/ML algorithms (k-NN, SVM, Random Forest, XGBoost, Naive Bayes)

• Deep learning, NLP, and LLM experience

• Statistical forecasting and performance metrics evaluation

• SQL, Hive, Pig, Python, R (OOP knowledge preferred)

• Experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau) and data frameworks (e.g., Hadoop)

• Strong analytical, mathematical & business acumen

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
