Position Overview

Syngenta is seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Technical Sales Officer for Khanewal. The role focuses on driving sales growth, demand generation, channel development, and stakeholder engagement within the assigned territory. The ideal candidate will have strong agricultural knowledge, excellent relationship management skills, and the ability to deliver consistent business results.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver assigned sales budget with proper monthly phasing and forecasting accuracy above 80%.

  • Execute demand generation activities including Farmer Meetings (FM), Field Days (FD), and product demonstrations, ensuring effective inventory liquidation.

  • Drive revenue growth through proactive territory management and targeted field activities.

  • Lead and manage Field Officers by providing training, action planning, on-the-job coaching, and performance follow-ups.

  • Oversee channel management, target setting, and conduct Monthly Business Review (MBR) meetings.

  • Expand distribution by onboarding new channel partners in vacant BSAs and strengthening existing relationships.

  • Provide regular market intelligence updates, including competitor activities and market outlook.

  • Promote New Product Introductions (NPI) through strong demonstrations and engagement with growers, channel partners, and arhties (middlemen).

  • Ensure effective execution of sales campaigns and company policies.

  • Optimize resource allocation within the territory, including field officer placement and channel establishment.

  • Drive geographical expansion through structured field and channel development initiatives.

  • Maintain stakeholder relationships across the value chain (EIs, arhties, sub-dealers, and other partners).

  • Track and monitor channel inventory, liquidation, and Points of Growth (POG).

  • Address and resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key regional influencers such as lead growers, market yard vendors, value chain partners, and relevant institutions/government officials.

  • Ensure timely product placement and collections to achieve targeted Days’ Sales Outstanding (DSO) levels.


Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture (preferably in Plant Breeding or Horticulture).

  • 3–4 years of relevant sales experience in the agriculture sector.

  • MBA (Agri) will be considered an added advantage.
