About the Role

MMBL is looking for a highly skilled Database Security Expert to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of critical organizational data. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and maintain advanced security controls across enterprise database environments, with strong expertise in both enterprise and open-source platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct periodic security assessments and vulnerability audits of database systems.

• Design and enforce user access controls, roles, and permission frameworks.

• Implement encryption, data masking, and other protective measures for data at rest and in transit.

• Monitor database activities, detect suspicious behavior, and respond to security incidents.

• Apply security patches, updates, and best practices to mitigate emerging threats.

• Collaborate with IT and security teams to align database security with enterprise-wide policies.

• Maintain documentation of security procedures, risk assessments, and compliance activities.

Required Skills & Expertise

• Hands-on experience with Oracle 19c, SQL Server, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL.

• Strong knowledge of database security tools and frameworks.

• In-depth understanding of encryption, access control mechanisms, data masking, and audit management (e.g., Audit Vault).

• Familiarity with compliance standards such as PCI-DSS (preferred).

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Effective time management and adaptability to handle multiple tasks.

• Commitment to continuous learning and emerging security technologies.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in database administration or database security.

• Certifications (Preferred):

  • OCP (Oracle Certified Professional)

  • Oracle Database Security Expert Certification
