Position Overview
Nestlé Pakistan is seeking a skilled Manager – Indirect Tax & Customs to ensure timely and accurate compliance with indirect tax regulations. This role includes sales tax returns, statutory reporting, customs classification, sales tax refunds, and alignment with Nestlé policies and international accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
Indirect Tax Compliance

Validate and file sales tax returns, statements, and statutory reports on time.

Ensure adherence to sales tax and customs regulations.

Post tax-related general ledger entries accurately.
Sales Tax Refunds
-
Prepare complete sales tax refund claims and maintain reconciliations.

Track refund status and coordinate with authorities for timely processing.
Customs & Import Tax Management

Determine correct H.S Codes for imports, exports, and local sales.

Identify cost-saving opportunities via optimal H.S classification and trade agreements.

Manage duty drawback schemes and related audits.
Tax Audits & Litigation
-
Handle tax audits, notices, and litigations with authorities.

Liaise with external tax consultants and legal advisors when needed.
Tax Advisory

Provide guidance on tax planning and transactions.

Identify opportunities for tax optimization and cost savings.
Stakeholder Management & Reporting

Collaborate with internal teams including Finance, Supply Chain, and Business Controllers.

Prepare local and international tax reports; reconcile Sales Tax GLs quarterly.
Risk Management & Training

Conduct quarterly reviews of sales tax risk provisions.

Ensure compliance with Nestlé Accounting Standards and IAS.

Deliver tax awareness sessions for internal stakeholders.
Key Requirements
Education & Experience
-
CA / CMA / ACCA or equivalent.
-
4–6 years’ experience in indirect tax with FBR, MNCs, or tax consultancy firms.

Hands-on experience with FBR portal, sales tax filings, and refund processing.
Skills & Knowledge

Strong understanding of indirect tax laws, customs regulations, and sales/procurement processes.

Familiarity with RCPS, RMS, and FBR systems.

Strong analytical, Excel, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Key Stakeholders
Internal: Taxation Team, Business Controllers, Decision Support, Financial Services, Accounts Receivable, Supply Chain
External: Tax Authorities, External Auditors, Tax Consultants
