Job Purpose

The Territory Manager acts as a front-line sales leader responsible for managing distributors and trade operations within the assigned territory. The role focuses on ensuring efficient distribution, driving sales growth, and achieving key performance targets.

This position offers the opportunity to develop strong expertise in FMCG sales, market execution, and digital transformation initiatives while contributing to Unilever’s growth strategy.


Key Responsibilities

  • Drive volume growth and sales performance within the assigned territory.

  • Improve brand visibility and competitive presence in retail outlets.

  • Coordinate operational plans and execution with distributors and customers.

  • Lead joint business planning and negotiations with key trade partners.

  • Plan and manage eRTM (Electronic Route to Market) and optimize routes for Distributor Sales Representatives (DSRs).

  • Support the digital transformation initiatives within the territory.

  • Monitor financial performance, including profitability and gross margin.

  • Lead and develop an extended sales team, building capabilities and talent.

  • Ensure delivery of business KPIs and performance targets.

  • Conduct post-execution analysis and continuously improve processes through data-driven insights.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

  • 1–4 years of sales experience in the FMCG industry (preferred).


Required Skills

  • Strong business and financial understanding.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Power BI.

  • Ability to spend significant time in the market (“feet on street”).

  • Strong strategic thinking and execution capabilities.

  • Good understanding of competitive market dynamics.

  • High accountability, responsibility, and action-oriented mindset.
