Job Overview
The Analyst – Accounts Payable is responsible for managing payment-related activities within the Accounts Payable function. The role ensures accurate invoice processing, compliance with tax regulations, and adherence to defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
This position reports directly to the Manager Accounts Payable and plays an important role in maintaining financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities

Perform monthly closing and reporting activities related to Accounts Payable.

Ensure accurate withholding of Income Tax and Sales Tax on vendor payments.

Monitor compliance with SLA and KPI targets, particularly related to balance sheet quality and analysis.

Prepare accounts payable reports and aging analysis.

Handle foreign imports, service transactions, intercompany transactions, and letters of credit (LCs).

Support internal and external stakeholders in end-to-end payment processing.

Ensure compliance with taxation laws, financial regulations, and international accounting standards.

Manage transactional accounting processes and financial system entries.

Process invoices according to the defined verification checklist.

Coordinate daily with user departments and vendors for accurate and timely invoice processing.

Communicate with stakeholders regarding queries, payment status, and updates.

Requirements
Education
-
Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
OR -
Member of a recognized professional accounting body
Experience & Skills
-
Relevant experience in accounting and financial systems (experience with Oracle is a plus).

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Solid understanding of Accounts Payable best practices.
-
Knowledge of basic IFRS and accounting principles.

Experience working in a shared services or service center environment.

Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to monitor service levels and KPIs and implement improvements.

Strong stakeholder management and customer-centric mindset.
