Job Overview
Syngenta is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Technical Sales Officer to support business growth in the Karampur territory. The role involves driving sales performance, managing field teams, building strong relationships with channel partners, and implementing demand generation activities to achieve business targets.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue Management
-
Deliver territory sales targets in line with the approved monthly budget and phasing plan.

Ensure month-on-month forecasting accuracy above 80%.

Implement demand generation activities including Farmer Meetings (FM), Field Days (FD), and product demonstrations.

Drive revenue growth by executing targeted sales strategies across the assigned territory.
Team & Field Management

Lead and manage a team of Field Officers, providing training, action planning, and on-the-job coaching.

Monitor field activities and ensure effective follow-up on execution.

Allocate resources effectively including placement of field officers and development of distribution channels.
Channel & Market Development
-
Manage and strengthen relationships with distributors, sub-dealers, and channel partners.

Set targets for channels and conduct monthly business review meetings.

Onboard new Business Sales Associates (BSAs) where required.

Expand geographical coverage through new channel development and field activities.
Market Intelligence & Product Promotion

Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs within the territory.

Support New Product Introductions (NPI) through demonstrations and product showcases to growers and partners.

Execute marketing campaigns and ensure alignment with company sales policies.
Stakeholder & Relationship Management
-
Maintain strong engagement with growers, arhties (middlemen), sub-dealers, and value chain partners.

Build relationships with key regional influencers including lead growers, market vendors, institutions, and government officials.

Address customer complaints promptly and ensure service satisfaction.
Inventory & Collections Management

Track and monitor channel inventory levels and product liquidation.

Ensure timely product placement and maintain targeted Days’ Sales Outstanding (DSO) through effective collections.
Qualifications
-
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, preferably in Plant Breeding or Horticulture.

3–4 years of relevant experience in agricultural sales or agribusiness.

MBA (Agriculture / Agri-Business) will be considered an added advantage.
