Job Overview

Zong is seeking a skilled Assistant Manager – RAN L1 Optimization to support Radio Access Network (RAN) optimization and planning activities in the South Region. The role focuses on maintaining network performance, improving customer experience, and ensuring competitive network quality through optimization strategies and performance analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor OSS KPIs related to network accessibility, retainability, mobility, and quality to ensure departmental targets are achieved.

• Perform root cause analysis for network quality degradation and coordinate with relevant teams for timely resolution.

• Develop and implement Drive Test optimization strategies to ensure strong performance in PTA QoS surveys.

• Collaborate closely with Regional Commercial teams to implement network enhancements that support business growth and competitiveness.

• Conduct Inter-Operator Drive Test benchmarks to evaluate market positioning and identify improvement opportunities.

• Perform consistency audits for network parameters and features to detect discrepancies and ensure optimal configurations.

• Lead optimization parameter and feature trials across different RAN releases to improve network quality and customer experience.

• Support network redesign initiatives, including antenna tilt and height adjustments, to optimize coverage and resolve issues such as poor coverage, pilot pollution, and integration of new sites.

• Manage vendor contractual acceptance processes, including NPM services, drive test services, SSV acceptance for NPS, and sector split activities.

• Prepare network performance overview reports for management highlighting strengths, weaknesses, root causes of degradation, and improvement plans.

Eligibility Criteria

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in RAN Optimization and Planning.

Required Skills

• Strong technical reporting and presentation skills.

Technical Skills

• In-depth knowledge of RAN optimization for 2G, 3G, and 4G technologies.
