Mobilink Microfinance Bank is seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Relationship Officer SME to manage and grow relationships with Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) clients. The role focuses on understanding clients’ financial needs, promoting banking products, ensuring loan quality, and achieving assigned business targets while maintaining the highest ethical and compliance standards.


Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

  • Execute approved sales and service plans in coordination with the Branch Manager / Relationship Manager to achieve growth targets.

  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, potential markets, and customer segments.

  • Promote and sell SME banking products by building strong customer relationships in line with bank SOPs.

  • Achieve assigned sales targets through ethical selling practices and genuine customer acquisition.

  • Develop marketing strategies to increase loan portfolio and expand the customer base.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with SME clients to support their financial objectives.

  • Clearly communicate product features, terms, and conditions to customers.

  • Conduct physical verification of prospective clients to ensure portfolio quality.

  • Arrange regular customer meetings (monthly/quarterly) as per product programs.

Credit Evaluation & Loan Processing

  • Assess customer profiles using the Five C’s of Credit (Character, Capacity, Capital, Collateral, Conditions).

  • Ensure loan booking and documentation strictly comply with bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

  • Safeguard customer legal documents and maintain proper record management.

Collections & Portfolio Monitoring

  • Ensure timely loan repayments through proactive follow-ups and customer engagement.

  • Maintain high collection efficiency and monitor portfolio performance.

  • Guide customers to deposit repayments at bank cash counters and avoid unauthorized cash handling.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Follow internal controls and SOPs to prevent financial, operational, or reputational risks.

  • Report any suspected fraud or potential loss cases to the Line Manager or relevant authorities.

  • Ensure compliance with State Bank regulations and internal product guidelines.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Prepare weekly field activity plans and performance reports in coordination with the Line Manager.

  • Stay updated on product knowledge and recommend improvements based on market feedback.

  • Maintain service quality standards and ensure positive customer experience 😊.


Eligibility Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree from a reputable institution (MBA preferred).

  • 1–2 years of relevant experience in banking, sales, or SME financing will be an advantage.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to work in field-based sales environment and meet performance targets.
