A Relationship Officer – Deposit at Mobilink Microfinance Bank is responsible for building and managing relationships with individual and corporate customers regarding their deposit accounts. The role focuses on acquiring new clients, retaining existing customers, and effectively meeting deposit-related banking needs while supporting the bank’s liability growth and cross-selling objectives.
Key Responsibilities

Execute customer acquisition strategies to develop a strong deposit portfolio and achieve liability growth targets.

Build and maintain a CALSA / Term Deposit (TD) customer base within the defined timelines.

Achieve assigned portfolio targets (CALSA / Savings Accounts / Term Deposits) on weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

Recruit and onboard Freelancers / Brand Ambassadors to develop a retail deposit mobilization team of up to 25 members.

Maintain the targeted portfolio mix between CASA and Term Deposits.

Mobilize fairly priced deposits through multiple customer accounts to support retail deposit growth.

Develop and sustain long-term relationships with key prospective and existing clients.

Ensure compliance with bank policies, procedures, and strategies while coordinating with internal branch units.

Maintain daily deposit mobilization and New-to-Bank (NTB) account opening targets.

Identify customer challenges and coordinate with Relationship Managers / Branch Managers for effective solutions.

Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling banking products.

Monitor competitor activities to proactively retain and satisfy customers.

Deliver excellent customer service to enhance the bank’s reputation.

Resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.

Perform any additional tasks assigned by the Line Manager efficiently.
Eligibility Criteria

Bachelor’s degree from a reputable institution in Business Administration, Commerce, Accounting, Marketing, Economics, Finance, or equivalent.

Strong understanding of deposit products and banking operations.

Knowledge of CASA fundamentals and portfolio growth strategies.
-
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in sales, operations, or management (preferably in retail / consumer banking or related industries).
