Job Description

The Assistant Manager – Distribution Planning plays a critical role in strengthening the organization’s retail and franchise distribution network. This position focuses on designing and executing nationwide distribution strategies, leveraging data insights, and optimizing channel efficiency to ensure strong market reach and performance.

You will act as the custodian of the national franchise channel, driving strategic initiatives that enhance distribution capabilities and support business growth ambitions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute national distribution strategies based on market demographics, population insights, and business goals

  • Oversee and manage the nationwide franchise and retail distribution channel

  • Utilize data analytics and data science techniques to optimize distribution efficiency

  • Prepare business cases and policies for new and existing product distribution

  • Manage franchise agreements and policy frameworks

  • Set and monitor monthly and annual distribution KPIs and targets

  • Identify distribution gaps and propose actionable solutions

  • Drive continuous process improvements and operational efficiencies


Day-to-Day Activities

  • Define and track distribution KPIs across the country

  • Analyze performance trends and provide actionable insights to stakeholders

  • Benchmark distribution practices against regional markets

  • Anticipate operational challenges and recommend proactive solutions

  • Support decision-making through data-driven analysis

Requirements

Education

  • MBA / BBA or related discipline

Experience

  • Significant experience in channel operations, planning, or P&L roles

  • Preferably within the telecom or FMCG sector

Core Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, SQL, Python, and PowerPoint

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Understanding of telecom and branchless banking distribution models

  • Ability to convert data into strategic insights and decisions

  • Effective relationship management skills
