The Relationship Officer – Deposit is responsible for developing and managing relationships with individual and corporate clients for deposit products. The role focuses on acquiring new customers, strengthening existing relationships, and driving deposit portfolio growth through effective sales, service excellence, and cross-selling initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

Customer Acquisition & Portfolio Growth

  • Execute customer acquisition strategies to build a strong liability portfolio and achieve assigned cross-sell targets.

  • Develop and maintain a healthy CASA (Current & Savings Accounts) and Term Deposit portfolio within defined timelines.

  • Ensure achievement of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual portfolio targets across deposit products.

  • Maintain the desired portfolio mix between CASA and Term Deposits.

  • Drive fairly priced deposit mobilization to support overall retail deposit growth.

Team Development & Market Outreach

  • Onboard and manage Freelancers / Brand Ambassadors to create a retail deposit mobilization team of up to 25 members.

  • Ensure consistent NTB (New-to-Bank) account opening and deposit mobilization run-rate on a daily basis.

  • Monitor competitor activities to proactively retain and grow the customer base.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and sustain strong relationships with potential and existing clients to generate repeat business.

  • Identify customer needs and provide suitable banking solutions.

  • Explore opportunities for cross-selling and upselling bank products and services.

  • Address customer challenges promptly by coordinating with Relationship Managers / Branch Management when required.

Service Excellence & Compliance

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to enhance client satisfaction and brand reputation.

  • Resolve customer complaints professionally and within defined timelines.

  • Ensure all activities comply with bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

  • Collaborate effectively with internal branch units to achieve business objectives.

  • Perform additional tasks assigned by the Line Manager efficiently.


Eligibility Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree from a reputable institution in Business Administration, Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.

  • Sound understanding of deposit products and their operational dynamics.

  • Knowledge of CASA fundamentals and portfolio growth strategies.

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in sales, operations, or relationship management within retail / consumer banking or a similar industry (preferred).
