Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Department Manager – Grocery to oversee the daily operations of the grocery section. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth department performance, maintaining optimal stock levels, leading the team effectively, and delivering an excellent customer shopping experience while achieving sales and operational targets.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and supervise day-to-day operations of the grocery department

Monitor inventory levels, place timely orders, and ensure accurate stock control

Lead, train, and schedule departmental staff to maintain productivity and service standards

Ensure attractive product merchandising, correct pricing, and shelf availability

Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and product quality

Address customer inquiries, handle complaints professionally, and ensure satisfaction

Track department performance, achieve sales targets, and minimize stock wastage
Job Requirements
Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or a related discipline
Experience:

Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in retail, supermarket, or grocery store management

Hands-on experience managing FMCG or grocery operations will be preferred
Skills & Competencies:

Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills

Sound knowledge of retail operations, merchandising, and inventory management
