Job Overview

Meezan Bank Limited is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional for the position of Officer Compliance Review. The role involves supporting compliance reviews, assessing adherence to regulatory requirements, and strengthening internal control frameworks.


Eligibility Criteria

Qualifications

  • ACCA qualified or Master’s degree from a reputable university

  • Certification or qualification in Islamic Finance will be considered an advantage

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

  • Background in Internal Controls / Audit within:

    • Banking sector, or

    • Chartered Accountancy (CA) firm


Key Skills

  • Strong knowledge of banking regulations, including:

    • SBP Prudential Regulations

    • AML / CFT / CPF guidelines

    • Foreign Exchange (FX) Manual

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Sound understanding of auditing and internal control principles

  • Ability to identify, analyze, and report compliance gaps


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Manager Compliance Review in conducting compliance reviews to ensure adherence to SBP regulations and internal policies

  • Perform credit risk reviews of financing portfolios, including:

    • Corporate / Commercial

    • SME

    • Consumer

  • Conduct substantive and analytical procedures to identify potential compliance issues

  • Perform targeted desktop reviews based on regulatory requirements

  • Support evaluation of internal controls and recommend improvements

  • Prepare working papers, draft findings, and contribute to compliance reports
