A reputable public sector organization is seeking a skilled and motivated Assistant Director (Network Engineer – Soft VPN Project) to support and manage secure network connectivity and Soft VPN infrastructure. The role requires strong expertise in firewall administration, routing & switching, and ensuring seamless VPN user access within enterprise production environments.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (4 Years) in Computer Science / Information Technology / Telecom Engineering / Software Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum 16 years of HEC-verified education is mandatory
• Master’s degree will be preferred
• All academic degrees must be attested by HEC / relevant educational boards

Professional Experience

• Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience in Communications & Networks
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA / CCNP will be considered an added advantage

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, administer, and maintain firewall services and Soft VPN connectivity
• Deploy and manage network firewalls and switches across Aggregation, Core, and Perimeter environments
• Ensure uninterrupted SVPN user connectivity and perform advanced troubleshooting for network issues
• Manage VPN groups, IP addressing schemes, and user access provisioning
• Lead and coordinate with Infrastructure, Support, and Security teams to meet operational objectives
• Implement and support routing and switching protocols across enterprise networks

• Strong technical expertise in network security and VPN solutions
• Effective team leadership and stakeholder coordination skills
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and technical problem-solving abilities
• Ability to perform in high-availability production environments

• Appointment will be made on a contract basis, including a 6-month probation period (extendable if required)
