The Area Manager Collections – Specialized Asset Management (SAM) is responsible for the end-to-end execution and control of recovery activities related to defaulted, specialized, and charged-off portfolios within the assigned area. The role focuses on maintaining recovery momentum, ensuring compliance with recovery standards, and achieving assigned targets in line with approved SAM strategies and governance frameworks.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
📊 Recovery Execution & Portfolio Management
- Implement approved recovery strategies for 90+ DPD, defaulted, and charge-off portfolios
- Drive recovery outcomes through settlement, regularization, or resolution
- Monitor recovery performance and prevent portfolio stagnation
- Support escalation of cases for asset-backed recovery or litigation, when required
👥 Team Supervision & Field Control
- Directly supervise Team Leads and Field Collection & Default Officers (FCDOs)
- Ensure proper customer coverage and timely field visits
- Validate accurate recording of customer interactions, calls, visits, and PTPs (Promise to Pay)
- Conduct field reviews to maintain quality recovery practices
⚠️ Compliance & Governance

Enforce zero tolerance for:
- Cash collections in the field
- Harassment or unethical recovery practices
- Unauthorized commitments to customers
- Ensure correct allocation and tagging of default accounts among FCDOs
- Manage account re-tagging within 2–3 working days in case of staff attrition or absence
- Ensure strict adherence to SAM SOPs, Fair Debt Collection Guidelines, SBP regulations, and internal policies
- Act as the first control checkpoint for field recovery compliance
- Escalate any breaches or risks to the Regional Manager promptly
🎓 Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s degree preferred)

5–7 years of relevant experience in:
- Collections & Recovery
- NPL / Default Portfolio Management
- Proven experience in field team leadership is mandatory
