A Relationship Officer Asset at Mobilink Microfinance Bank plays a key frontline role in driving asset sales, building strong customer relationships, and supporting financial inclusion initiatives. The position focuses on understanding customers’ financial needs, promoting loan products, ensuring quality portfolio growth, and maintaining service excellence. The officer acts as a trusted advisor for clients by providing personalized financial solutions while ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Execute approved sales and service plans to achieve assigned growth targets in coordination with the Branch Manager / Relationship Manager.
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with customers through regular engagement and quality service delivery.
  • Identify potential customers and generate asset business by promoting loan products as per defined SOPs.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets through ethical selling practices while avoiding non-genuine lending activities.
  • Conduct customer profiling and credit evaluation using the Five C’s of Credit framework.
  • Perform physical verification of prospective clients and ensure accurate loan booking in line with bank policies.
  • Communicate clearly the terms and conditions of products to customers before loan processing.
  • Ensure timely recovery and collections through proactive follow-ups and customer coordination.
  • Maintain proper care and confidentiality while handling customers’ legal and financial documents.
  • Guide customers to make loan repayments at the bank’s cash counter or approved channels only.
  • Prepare and implement weekly field activity plans in consultation with the line manager.
  • Conduct market assessments and research to identify new business opportunities and potential markets.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, product SOPs, and regulatory guidelines to safeguard the bank’s reputation.
  • Report any fraudulent or suspicious activity to the Line Manager / HOD promptly.
  • Maintain service quality standards to avoid customer complaints and enhance satisfaction.
  • Continuously update knowledge of banking products, services, and market trends.

Eligibility Criteria

  • 🎓 Qualification: Bachelor’s degree from a reputable institution (MBA preferred).
  • 💼 Experience: Fresh to 1 year of relevant sales / banking / microfinance experience preferred.
  • 🧠 Strong communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
  • 📊 Ability to work in the field, meet targets, and build customer trust.
