The Relationship Officer – Asset Sales plays a vital role in driving the bank’s asset growth by building strong relationships with customers and identifying lending opportunities. The position focuses on understanding clients’ financial needs, promoting suitable loan products, and ensuring high-quality service delivery in line with the bank’s policies and ethical standards.

This role serves as a key point of contact for customers, providing guidance on banking products, facilitating loan processing, and ensuring timely recoveries to maintain portfolio health.


Key Responsibilities

  • Execute approved sales and service plans to achieve assigned business growth targets in coordination with Branch Manager / Relationship Manager.
  • Generate sales by establishing and maintaining professional relationships with prospective and existing customers.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets while strictly adhering to ethical practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Promote loan products and expand the customer base to enhance branch profitability.
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and evaluate market potential in assigned territories.
  • Assess customer profiles using the Five C’s of Credit and ensure transparent communication of product terms and conditions.
  • Perform physical verification of clients to ensure authenticity and minimize risk.
  • Ensure timely loan recoveries through proactive client engagement and regular follow-ups.
  • Safeguard customer legal documentation and ensure secure handling to prevent misuse.
  • Guide customers to make loan repayments through official banking channels and avoid unauthorized cash handling.
  • Prepare weekly field activity plans in consultation with line management and track performance deviations.
  • Conduct regular customer meetings as per product program guidelines.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of banking products and recommend service improvements based on customer feedback.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and customer service standards.
  • Report any suspected fraud or potential financial loss incidents to the Line Manager or relevant authority.
  • Develop long-term customer relationships to strengthen trust and brand reputation.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution (MBA will be an added advantage).
  • Preferably 0–1 year of relevant experience in sales, banking, or financial services.
  • Strong communication, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
  • Willingness to perform field-based sales activities.
