The Relationship Officer Asset plays a vital role in strengthening customer relationships and driving the bank’s asset portfolio growth. This position focuses on understanding customers’ financial needs, promoting suitable loan products, and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
The role requires proactive field engagement, ethical sales practices, and strong customer relationship management to enhance the overall banking experience while supporting business objectives.
What Does a Relationship Officer Asset Do?
- Execute approved sales and service plans in coordination with Branch Manager / Relationship Manager to achieve business growth targets.
- Develop customer relationships by identifying prospects and promoting banking products as per defined SOPs.
- Achieve assigned sales targets with integrity, professionalism, and compliance with ethical standards.
- Ensure genuine loan sales while avoiding irregular practices such as family lending or adjustment lending.
- Contribute to profitability by expanding the customer base and promoting asset products.
- Conduct market visits and research to identify new business opportunities and evaluate existing markets.
- Assess customer profiles using credit evaluation principles (Five C’s of Credit).
- Clearly communicate product features, terms, and conditions to customers.
- Perform physical verification of clients to ensure authenticity and performance monitoring.
- Facilitate timely loan collections through customer follow-ups and awareness.
- Safeguard customer legal documentation and ensure proper handling procedures.
- Guide customers to make loan repayments through official banking channels.
- Prepare weekly field activity plans and review performance with the line manager.
- Maintain strong, long-term customer relationships through regular meetings and service support.
- Ensure strict compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and service standards.
- Report any suspicious or fraudulent activities to the line manager promptly.
- Continuously enhance product knowledge and recommend improvements based on market feedback.
What Are We Looking For?
- Bachelor’s degree from a reputable institution (MBA preferred).
- 0–1 year of relevant experience in sales, banking, or financial services.
- Strong communication, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
- Field mobility and willingness to meet customers regularly.
- Basic understanding of credit assessment and customer relationship management.
