To ensure immediate response to equipment issues in order to avoid shop stoppages and minimize breakdown time in the clinker manufacturing area.

Job Responsibilities

• Review previous shift reports, ongoing issues, and equipment conditions.
• Immediately report any breakdowns or stoppages to the Area In-Charge for timely action.
• Coordinate closely with CCR to identify and resolve operational issues.
• Conduct daily inspections of clinker manufacturing areas, including control rooms and substations.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and field equipment in case of faults or complaints.
• Respond to emergency situations, including off-hours assignments as required.
• Prepare detailed shift reports including complaints, meter readings, and operational data.
• Provide trends, alarm logs, and event history during stoppages.
• Perform first-level inspections and report abnormalities.
• Execute scheduled inspections, maintenance, and calibration activities.
• Prepare work permits and relevant documentation when required.
• Suggest improvements to prevent recurring issues.
• Ensure proper handling of tools, documents, and manuals.
• Participate in technical and safety training programs.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping in assigned areas.
• Ensure all control rooms and substations remain secure and locked.
• Comply strictly with HSE policies and ensure safety in all assigned tasks.
• Achieve assigned yearly objectives with proper reporting and documentation.

Experience & Qualification

• Minimum Education: Matric / Under Matric
• Experience: 7–8 years of relevant experience, preferably in the cement industry
