A General Banking Officer (GBO) at Mobilink Microfinance Bank Ltd. plays a key role in branch operations by delivering high-quality customer service and ensuring smooth execution of banking processes. The role involves handling account-related operations, customer queries, administrative tasks, and compliance with banking regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Operations

• Provide efficient and professional service to branch customers in line with service quality standards
• Manage customer queries and complaints, ensuring timely resolution within defined TAT
• Guide walk-in customers and promote bank products through cross-selling

Account & Banking Operations

• Handle account opening, closures, and maintenance processes
• Perform non-financial transactions including:
  • Dormancy marking/removal
  • Stop payments processing
  • Statement of Account (SOA) issuance
  • Loan account operations
• Process clearing instruments and maintain accurate records

Cash Handling & Teller Backup

• Process cash deposits and withdrawals in accordance with SOPs
• Ensure cash balancing and reconciliation at end of day
• Identify and report counterfeit notes as per SBP guidelines
• Support teller operations and maintain vault and cash registers

Administrative & Compliance Tasks

• Maintain and reconcile fixed assets inventory
• Act as custodian of security stationery, cheque books, ATM cards, and stamps
• Prepare daily/periodic reports for branch and Head Office
• Maintain accurate records of sundry and suspense accounts
• Ensure compliance with operational policies and regulatory requirements

Additional Duties

• Assist in gold loan assessments
• Handle deceased customer case processing and refunds
• Perform scanning and uploading of documents
• Carry out any additional tasks assigned by line management

Eligibility Criteria

• Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution (relevant field preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of relevant banking experience
• Strong communication, customer handling, and operational skills
