Job Overview
Beaconhouse Technology is seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Support Officer to join its Head Office team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing efficient IT support, ensuring smooth system operations, and maintaining optimal performance of IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows operating systems and applications
- Set up and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment
- Perform hardware upgrades, replacements, and routine maintenance
- Monitor IT systems to ensure maximum uptime and performance
- Handle networking tasks including LAN/WAN connectivity, IP configuration, and Wi-Fi troubleshooting
- Work with technologies such as Fortinet Firewalls, Cisco Switches, Ubiquiti Access Points & Controllers, Dahua CCTV, and Avaya IP Telephony
- Maintain logs of issues, resolutions, and system updates
- Assist in basic system administration (user accounts, access control)
- Coordinate with vendors for repairs and maintenance
- Ensure compliance with organizational IT policies and procedures
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in IT support or a similar role
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience with hardware setup, upgrades, and peripheral installations
- Ability to diagnose and resolve Wi-Fi and network connectivity issues
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and user support abilities
- Ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively
