Job Overview

Telenor Pakistan is seeking a dynamic Assistant Manager – Digital & VAS Planning to lead the planning, development, and optimization of Digital & Value-Added Services (VAS). The role focuses on building scalable, reliable, and automated service delivery platforms while ensuring seamless integration across telecom systems and digital ecosystems.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement solutions aligned with industry best practices
  • Manage end-to-end VAS and digital service delivery projects
  • Develop technical roadmaps and system architectures
  • Ensure alignment with organizational and group-level digital strategies
  • Enforce IT governance and information security standards
  • Collaborate with Commercial, BSS, O&M, and vendor teams for service launches
  • Oversee integration of third-party platforms (SMS, IVR, USSD, Web, APIs)
  • Monitor system performance and optimize via KPI-driven analysis
  • Support procurement, budgeting, and vendor coordination processes
  • Analyze performance reports and improve service delivery efficiency

Required Qualifications & Experience

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer, Electrical, Electronics, or Telecommunications Engineering
  • Master’s in Project Management (preferred)

Experience:

  • 4–5 years in VAS, Digital Services, or Service Delivery platforms
  • Experience in planning, integration, and deployment of telecom VAS solutions
  • Hands-on experience with API frameworks and API gateways
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (IaaS & PaaS)
  • Familiarity with SOA, middleware, and enterprise integration tools
  • Experience in project management and KPI-driven platform optimization

Technical & Functional Skills

  • Strong understanding of GSM network architecture
  • Expertise in VAS systems (SMSC, USSD, IVR, RBT, Charging Gateway, etc.)
  • Knowledge of digital service platforms and deployment models
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills
