Beaconhouse Newlands is seeking a dynamic Head of MYP to lead the Middle Years Programme (MYP) for grades 6-10. This role is ideal for educators with a strong background in the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework and a passion for academic excellence and leadership.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.

Experience

• Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience in the IB Middle Years Programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the MYP curriculum for grades 6-10.
• Implement IB philosophies, policies, and best practices for MYP.
• Support teachers in IB programme delivery and communicate updates to all stakeholders.
• Oversee programme evaluation, self-study, project presentations, and portfolio design.
• Ensure MYP aligns with national and international educational standards.
• Conduct professional development (PD) sessions for new teachers as per updated IB guidelines.
• Design and align School Improvement Plans with broader school objectives.
• Collaborate with AHSD and DP coordinators to maintain curriculum continuity across programmes.

• Understanding of policies, frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
