Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Officer – Finance to manage financial transactions, particularly related to local and international payments, Letters of Credit (LC), and supplier coordination. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in banking processes, documentation, and ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage opening, amendment, and retirement of Letters of Credit (LC), advance payments, and collections
• Handle documentation for LC facilities, renewals, and financial instruments
• Ensure accurate recording of liabilities and supplier payments (local & international) in ERP systems
• Oversee international payment processing, including timely recording and financial closure
• Coordinate with banks for SWIFT transactions, amendments, endorsements, lien handling, and reconciliations
• Maintain bank reconciliations, including cash margins and statements
• Process and monitor local supplier payments
• Liaise with clearing & forwarding agents for payment processing and reconciliation of payable ledgers
• Coordinate with Takaful agents for insurance cover notes, payments, and reconciliations
• Review and manage shipping and import documentation, including:
  • Commercial Invoices
  • Packing Lists
  • Airway Bills / Bills of Lading
  • HS Codes, CESS, and CAPEX approvals
• Support internal and external audits by maintaining accurate financial records

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of LC processes, trade finance, and banking operations
• Familiarity with international trade documentation and compliance
• Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office (especially Excel)
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
