Job Purpose

The Assistant Manager – SAP Financials (FI/CO) will support the configuration, testing, and operational management of SAP S/4HANA Finance modules. Working under the Manager SAP Financials, this role ensures smooth execution of finance and controlling processes, timely issue resolution, and effective system support within the SAP Center of Excellence (CoE). The position plays a key role in maintaining system stability, compliance, and alignment with business finance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

SAP FI/CO Support & Configuration

• Execute configuration and testing activities in SAP FI/CO under guidance of the Manager SAP Financials
• Support core financial processes including General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Asset Accounting, Cost & Profit Centers, COPA, and Product Costing
• Assist in month-end closing, reconciliations, and settlement activities
• Maintain accurate functional documentation, process flows, and configuration records

Operational Support

• Act as first-line support for SAP Finance incidents and service requests
• Troubleshoot issues and resolve or escalate complex cases appropriately
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and governance standards

Project Execution & Testing

• Participate in SAP implementation, rollout, and enhancement projects
• Support requirement gathering, functional specification development, and UAT execution
• Perform unit testing and assist in integration testing with modules such as MM, SD, PP, and PS
• Document test cases, results, and key learnings for continuous improvement

User Support & Training

• Provide daily functional support to end users on FI/CO processes
• Develop training materials and conduct user training sessions
• Support knowledge transfer and promote standardized processes across SSC/CoE

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and system efficiency
• Stay updated with SAP S/4HANA Finance innovations and best practices
• Contribute to automation and reporting enhancements in collaboration with IT and business teams

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems
• 3–5 years of SAP FI/CO functional experience (1–2 years in S/4HANA preferred)
• Strong hands-on experience in SAP configuration, testing, and support
• Exposure to integrations with MM, SD, PP, and external systems (banking/tax portals)
• Professional qualification (ACCA, CA Inter, CMA) is an advantage
