🔍 Job Overview

Step into a leadership role where geology meets strategy. As Chief Technical Officer (Geologist), you will steer large-scale exploration and mining projects, transforming raw earth data into actionable insights and viable operations.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the complete exploration portfolio, including licensing, evaluation, budgeting, and execution
• Plan and supervise geological fieldwork such as mapping, sampling, geochemical & geophysical surveys
• Oversee drilling campaigns from design to QA/QC and lab coordination
• Interpret exploration data and supervise geological modelling & resource estimation (JORC/NI 43-101 compliant)
• Prepare technical reports for management, regulators, and JV partners
• Ensure regulatory compliance and stakeholder coordination
• Identify new exploration opportunities and implement industry best practices
• Develop technical teams and establish/upgrade SOPs
• Lead Scoping, PFS, and DFS studies including mine planning and metallurgical testing

🎓 Qualification Requirements

• Ph.D / MSc / MS in:
  • Geology
  • Geological Engineering
  • Mining Engineering
  • Or related Earth Sciences

📊 Experience

• Minimum 15 years of post-qualification experience

⚙️ Core Skills & Expertise

• Strong background in hard-rock mining and exploration
• Proven leadership in senior roles (Chief Geologist / Technical Director / VP Exploration / VP Technical Services)
• End-to-end exploration program management including drilling campaigns
• Hands-on experience with JORC / NI 43-101 Mineral Resource & Reserve Estimation
• Excellent project management, communication, and team leadership skills
