The Transport & Safety Specialist is responsible for ensuring efficient, safe, and cost-effective transport operations at the Distribution Center. This role focuses on optimizing logistics performance, maintaining high safety standards, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring timely order fulfillment in line with organizational requirements and global best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with transport safety standards through fleet inspections, safety protocols, and contractual requirements
• Manage transport availability to support customer service levels and on-time delivery
• Improve transport efficiency through shift planning, dwell time reduction, and performance monitoring
• Support cost optimization initiatives within distribution center operations
• Drive continuous improvement through KPI tracking, process reviews, and operational health checks
• Lead cost-saving projects using continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., NCE, Lean initiatives)
• Build strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders for seamless operations
• Train and develop transport team members to enhance performance and productivity
• Ensure compliance with Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) and quality standards, including reporting protocols
• Improve infrastructure efficiency including inbound logistics and equipment availability

Required Experience

• 2–3 years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Distribution
• Hands-on experience in transport operations and fleet coordination
• Exposure to project management and process improvement initiatives
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
