Position Overview

READ Foundation is seeking a visionary and execution-focused leader to head its Programme Division. This role bridges strategy and implementation, ensuring high-quality education delivery across all schools while strengthening systems, leadership capacity, and accountability.


Key Responsibilities

1. Programme Leadership & Quality Assurance (50%)

  • Lead implementation of education quality frameworks
  • Establish data-driven review systems (termly & annual)
  • Standardize curriculum, assessments, and co-curricular practices
  • Identify gaps and scale effective interventions
  • Engage with Board & Education Committee on strategic direction

2. Operational Management (20%)

  • Oversee planning, budgeting, staffing, and infrastructure
  • Ensure smooth academic operations and compliance
  • Manage exams, teacher deployment, and safeguarding practices

3. People & Capacity Building (15%)

  • Lead and develop national & regional education teams
  • Design professional development pathways for educators
  • Promote a culture of accountability and performance

4. Policy, Compliance & Stakeholder Engagement (10%)

  • Ensure compliance with regulations and partner requirements
  • Liaise with government bodies and accreditation forums
  • Represent READ in education policy discussions

5. Reporting (5%)

  • Develop dashboards and reports for leadership and board

Candidate Profile

Essential Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Education, Leadership, Public Policy, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience (minimum 5 years in senior leadership)
  • Strong experience managing multi-site education systems
  • Expertise in quality assurance, data-driven decision-making
  • Experience in budgeting, performance management, and planning
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and team-building skills
  • High integrity and commitment to child safeguarding
