The Relationship Officer SME is responsible for managing and growing relationships with small and medium enterprise (SME) clients. This role focuses on achieving business targets, identifying new opportunities, and delivering financial solutions that align with customer needs while contributing to the bank’s growth.

🧩 Key Responsibilities

• Execute sales and service plans in alignment with branch targets
• Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and areas for expansion
• Develop strong client relationships through effective communication and service delivery
• Achieve assigned sales targets while adhering to ethical practices and SOPs
• Promote and sell SME loan products to enhance customer base and profitability
• Assess customer profiles using the Five C’s of Credit methodology
• Clearly communicate product terms and conditions to clients
• Perform field visits and verification of prospective customers
• Ensure timely loan repayments through proactive follow-ups and client engagement
• Maintain strict compliance in handling customer documentation and avoid cash handling
• Prepare weekly field activity plans in coordination with the Line Manager
• Conduct regular client meetings as per product guidelines
• Ensure loan processing and booking comply with bank policies and regulations
• Maintain high service standards and resolve customer concerns effectively
• Report any suspicious or fraudulent activity to management
• Ensure full compliance with SBP regulations and internal SOPs

🎯 Eligibility Criteria

• Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution (MBA preferred)
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in banking, sales, or SME financing
• Strong communication, analytical, and relationship management skills
• Ability to work in a target-driven environment
