The Female Attendant (Aya) plays a vital role in supporting healthcare services by assisting medical staff and ensuring patient comfort and hygiene. This position primarily focuses on providing care to women, children, and maternity patients within the health facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist LHVs during patient examinations, deliveries, and minor procedures
• Support pregnant women and mothers in pre-natal and post-natal care
• Assist in handling and caring for newborns under supervision
• Manage patient flow for ANC, PNC, and family planning services
• Maintain cleanliness of OPD, waiting areas, labor rooms, and delivery tables
• Assist in patient movement, positioning, and general care
• Support sterilization of instruments and ensure hygiene standards
• Ensure proper waste disposal in line with IPC protocols
• Observe patient conditions and report any concerns to medical staff
• Maintain respectful, compassionate, and culturally sensitive behavior
• Perform any additional duties assigned by the supervisor

Job Requirements

• Preferably a local resident of Pishin or Killa Saifullah
• Prior experience in hospitals, clinics, or maternity care settings is an advantage
• Basic understanding of hygiene and patient care practices
• Physically fit to perform routine caregiving tasks
• Strong interpersonal skills with a caring and respectful attitude
