The Female Attendant (Aya) will support healthcare staff in delivering quality patient care, particularly for women, mothers, and newborns. The role involves assisting LHVs during examinations and maternity-related procedures, maintaining hygiene standards, and ensuring patient comfort within the healthcare facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist LHVs during patient examinations, deliveries, and minor medical procedures
• Support pregnant women and mothers during antenatal and postnatal care
• Assist in handling newborns under LHV supervision
• Manage patient flow for ANC, PNC, and family planning services
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of OPD areas, waiting rooms, labor rooms, and delivery tables
• Assist patients with movement, positioning, and basic care needs
• Support instrument sterilization and ensure cleanliness supplies are available
• Ensure proper disposal of medical waste according to IPC protocols
• Observe and report changes in patient condition to healthcare staff
• Maintain respectful, compassionate, and culturally sensitive behavior with patients and attendants
• Perform additional duties assigned by the supervisor

Job Requirements

• Preferably a local resident of Pishin or Killa Saifullah
• Previous experience in hospitals, clinics, or maternity care settings will be an advantage
• Basic understanding of hygiene and patient care practices
• Physically fit to perform routine support and care tasks
• Good interpersonal and communication skills with a caring attitude
