A Banking Services Manager at Mobilink Microfinance Bank Ltd. is responsible for overseeing end-to-end branch operations while ensuring strict compliance with internal policies and regulatory frameworks. The role focuses on operational excellence, customer service quality, risk management, staff supervision, and maintaining a secure and efficient banking environment.
The incumbent acts as a key operational leader at branch level, ensuring smooth delivery of financial and non-financial services while upholding SBP regulations and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise branch operations team to ensure smooth daily functioning of all banking activities
- Coordinate closely with the Branch Manager to achieve operational and business targets
- Ensure full compliance with bank SOPs, policies, and SBP Prudential Regulations
- Create a customer-centric environment ensuring high-quality service delivery
- Monitor staff performance and ensure adherence to operational controls and procedures
- Ensure dual control system is strictly followed, safeguarding cash, keys, passwords, and security items
- Verify and maintain signed and sealed system reports and operational records
- Liaise with auditors (Internal/External/SBP) and ensure timely compliance of audit observations
- Monitor cash limits (vault and counter) and ensure proper cash handling procedures
- Prepare and submit MIS reports, confirmations, and operational documentation as required
- Handle customer complaints and ensure timely resolution
- Ensure monthly reconciliation of suspense accounts, shortages, excess, and prepaid expenses
- Supervise security stationery management and account opening records
- Oversee daily balancing of cash book, vault, and operational reports
- Manage all branch functions including deposits, cash, clearing, remittances, credits, recoveries, and digital banking services (e.g., JazzCash)
- Ensure all financial and non-financial transactions are authorized in real time with no pending end-of-day entries
- Maintain staff discipline, punctuality, dress code, and behavioral standards
- Arrange staff backup for critical operational roles
- Recommend staff training in coordination with line management
- Maintain coordination between departments for smooth operations
- Monitor staff behavior and report any suspicious activity
- Supervise custody of sensitive instruments (PDCs, gold, passbooks, duplicate keys, ATM codes, etc.)
- Handle HR and administrative matters of branch staff
- Ensure end-of-day processes, voucher reconciliation, and audit readiness
- Perform any additional tasks assigned by the Line Manager
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Commerce from a recognized institution
- MBA will be preferred (subject to approval)
- Minimum 5 years of relevant banking or branch operations experience
