🎯 Job Summary

The Manager Sales Excellence is responsible for driving sales performance improvement, standardizing sales processes, and enabling data-driven decision-making across trade channels. The role focuses on optimizing sales execution, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring alignment with organizational sales strategy and customer experience standards.


🚀 Key Responsibilities

📊 Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Support execution of Sales Excellence initiatives across trade channels
  • Implement sales strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Monitor channel performance and key accounts to identify gaps and opportunities
  • Ensure adherence to customer journey standards and “METRO Way of Selling”
  • Recommend process improvements for forecasting and efficiency
  • Coordinate sales incentive execution with relevant departments

📈 Data Analysis & Insights

  • Analyze sales trends, market data, and competitor activity
  • Develop dashboards, KPIs, and performance reports
  • Provide actionable insights to improve sales productivity and customer engagement
  • Conduct competitive intelligence analysis for trade optimization

🤝 Reporting & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Prepare regular performance reports for senior leadership
  • Collaborate with marketing, finance, and operations teams
  • Act as a coordination point between sales teams and management
  • Support leadership with data-driven recommendations

👥 Customer & Account Management

  • Segment trade customers based on performance and lifecycle stage
  • Manage high-value accounts including distributors and key retail chains
  • Optimize customer coverage using geographic and delivery mapping
  • Support customer retention and engagement initiatives

🎓 Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field
  • MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in FMCG, retail, cash & carry, or trade sales
  • Strong background in sales operations, analytics, or key account management
