The Manager Sales Excellence is responsible for driving sales performance improvement, standardizing sales processes, and enabling data-driven decision-making across trade channels. The role focuses on optimizing sales execution, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring alignment with organizational sales strategy and customer experience standards.

📊 Sales Strategy & Execution
Support execution of Sales Excellence initiatives across trade channels
Implement sales strategies aligned with business objectives
Monitor channel performance and key accounts to identify gaps and opportunities
Ensure adherence to customer journey standards and “METRO Way of Selling”
Recommend process improvements for forecasting and efficiency
Coordinate sales incentive execution with relevant departments
📈 Data Analysis & Insights
Analyze sales trends, market data, and competitor activity
Develop dashboards, KPIs, and performance reports
Provide actionable insights to improve sales productivity and customer engagement
Conduct competitive intelligence analysis for trade optimization
🤝 Reporting & Stakeholder Coordination
Prepare regular performance reports for senior leadership
Collaborate with marketing, finance, and operations teams
Act as a coordination point between sales teams and management
Support leadership with data-driven recommendations
👥 Customer & Account Management
Segment trade customers based on performance and lifecycle stage
Manage high-value accounts including distributors and key retail chains
Optimize customer coverage using geographic and delivery mapping
Support customer retention and engagement initiatives
🎓 Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field
MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification preferred
3+ years of experience in FMCG, retail, cash & carry, or trade sales
Strong background in sales operations, analytics, or key account management
