About the Opportunity
Mercy Corps is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern to support its Finance Department in day-to-day financial operations. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for fresh graduates to gain practical experience in financial management, documentation, compliance, reporting, and accounting processes within a reputable international humanitarian organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and file financial vouchers accurately.
- Scan and organize financial documents in designated digital folders.
- Perform monthly bank and cash file tagging.
- Archive financial records and maintain inventory lists.
- Assist in providing documentation for auditors and FBR requirements.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of finance-related files.
- Support vendor and employee payment processing activities.
- Perform data entry and updates in finance software systems.
- Assist in financial reviews and departmental reporting tasks.
- Support the Finance Team with additional assignments as required.
Safeguarding Responsibilities
- Learn and apply Mercy Corps safeguarding policies and practices.
- Promote a respectful, safe, and inclusive work environment.
- Support transparency and encourage reporting of concerns through approved channels.
- Uphold organizational values while interacting with colleagues and stakeholders.

Reports To: Senior Finance Officer
Works Closely With: Finance Team
Eligibility Criteria
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work effectively in diverse teams.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
Experience
