About the Role
Mobilink Microfinance Bank Limited (MMBL) is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Manager Network Security to lead and strengthen the organization's network and infrastructure security landscape. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing security operations, incident response, network security architecture, governance, compliance, and enterprise-wide cybersecurity initiatives.
This role plays a critical part in protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of enterprise systems while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Security Operations & Incident Management
- Lead security incident identification, investigation, mitigation, reporting, and continuous monitoring activities.
- Manage enterprise security monitoring to detect and respond to infrastructure and network-based threats.
- Monitor and validate SPAN feeds integrated with IDS/IPS platforms for threat detection and anomaly analysis.
- Develop, optimize, and fine-tune SIEM use cases, alerts, and event correlation rules.
- Strengthen security operational processes and enhance infrastructure protection frameworks.
Network Security Architecture & Engineering
- Design, implement, and manage enterprise security solutions including:
- Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW)
- IDS/IPS
- Web Application Firewalls (WAF)
- Wireless Intrusion Detection Systems (WIDS)
- Network Access Control (NAC)
- Load Balancers
- VPN Solutions
- Develop secure network and wireless security architectures.
- Lead Work-At-Home (WAH) security architecture and remote access security initiatives.
- Drive network security assurance, modelling, and resilience enhancement projects.
Governance, Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure infrastructure security controls align with regulatory standards and cybersecurity best practices.
- Conduct security configuration reviews and compliance assessments.
- Audit network, cloud, DNS, firewall, VPN, NAC, malware protection, IDS/IPS, and web application security controls.
- Support security audits, risk assessments, and client security reviews.
Eligibility Criteria
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
Professional Certifications
Required:
- Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
Preferred:
- CISSP, CISM, or CISA
- CCNA Security, CCNP Security, PCNSE, or equivalent
- ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor
- PCI DSS knowledge or certification
Experience Requirements
- 8β12 years of overall experience in cybersecurity and network security.
- Minimum 3 years of experience within a Network Operations Center (NOC).
- Hands-on expertise with:
- NGFW, Routers, Switches
- Identity & Access Management (IAM)
- NAC Solutions
- DNS Security
- Proxy Solutions
- Cloud Security Platforms
- Active Directory Auditing Solutions
- SIEM & SOAR Platforms
- Database Activity Monitoring
- XDR & Network Detection and Response (NDR)
- IDS/IPS Technologies
- Threat Intelligence Feed Integration
Required Skills
- Strong penetration testing and vulnerability assessment expertise.
- Proficiency in automated and manual security testing methodologies.
- Experience conducting network and system security assessments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to assess, explain, and document security risks and vulnerabilities.
- Deep understanding of:
- Enterprise Data Networks
- Microsoft, UNIX, and Linux Environments
- Cyber Threat Landscape
- Incident Response Practices
- Knowledge of SBP regulatory requirements and ISO 27001 standards.
- Excellent report writing, communication, and presentation skills.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
