Mobilink Microfinance Bank Limited (MMBL) is seeking an experienced and customer-focused General Banking Officer (OG-III) to join its Branch Operations team. The selected candidate will play a key role in delivering exceptional banking services, managing branch operations, handling customer transactions, and ensuring compliance with banking policies and procedures.


Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Branch Operations

  • Provide efficient and professional customer service while maintaining service quality standards.
  • Handle customer inquiries, requests, and complaints in a timely and effective manner.
  • Guide walk-in customers and promote relevant banking products and services.
  • Review branch service indicators and contribute towards achieving operational targets.

Account Management & Banking Operations

  • Process account opening, account closure, dormancy activation/deactivation, stop payment requests, statement issuance, level migration, and other account-related activities.
  • Manage loan account opening and closing processes.
  • Prepare deceased customer refund cases and maintain relevant records.
  • Perform non-financial transactions accurately in accordance with SOPs.

Cash & Teller Operations

  • Serve as backup Teller when required.
  • Process cash deposits, withdrawals, fund transfers, and clearing transactions.
  • Ensure daily cash balancing and maintenance of cash-related reports and registers.
  • Verify compliance with SBP clean note policies and identify counterfeit currency.
  • Manage vault cash transfers and ensure secure handling of cash operations.

Record Keeping & Compliance

  • Maintain branch registers, records, and documentation accurately.
  • Reconcile sundry and suspense accounts.
  • Scan and upload customer documents as required.
  • Ensure adherence to operational controls, regulatory requirements, and bank policies.

Administrative & Asset Management

  • Assist in branch administration and operational support activities.
  • Conduct annual physical verification of fixed assets and reconcile inventory records.
  • Act as custodian of security stationery, cheque books, ATM cards, keys, and stamps as per SOPs.
  • Prepare operational reports for submission to branch management and Head Office.

Additional Duties

  • Participate in Gold Loan assessments when required.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the Line Manager.

Eligibility Criteria

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree from a recognized and reputable institution.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant banking experience.

Skills Required

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of branch banking operations and banking regulations.
  • Cash handling and transaction processing expertise.
  • Record management and reporting capabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced banking environment.
