About the Opportunity

Mercy Corps is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Admin Intern (Female) to support its Administration and Operations team in Islamabad. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for fresh graduates and early-career professionals to gain practical experience in office administration, reception management, vendor coordination, and operational support within a leading international humanitarian organization.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative & Reception Support

  • Manage incoming and outgoing telephone calls professionally.
  • Receive, record, and relay phone messages to relevant staff promptly.
  • Welcome visitors and respond to general organizational inquiries.
  • Maintain the office PABX system and coordinate maintenance when required.
  • Receive, record, and dispatch incoming and outgoing mail and courier correspondence.
  • Maintain accurate mail logs and records.

Operations & Vendor Coordination

  • Prepare vendor payment documentation.
  • Coordinate with the Finance team to ensure timely processing of vendor and utility payments.
  • Process communication, utility, and courier bills within deadlines.
  • Arrange meeting room bookings and coordinate refreshments for internal meetings.
  • Provide administrative support as assigned by the supervisor.

Safeguarding & Compliance

  • Demonstrate commitment to safeguarding principles and organizational values.
  • Promote a respectful, safe, and inclusive workplace environment.
  • Support ethical conduct and encourage reporting of concerns through appropriate channels.
  • Adhere to Mercy Corps policies, procedures, and Code of Conduct requirements.

Reporting Line

Reports To: Logistics Officer – Assets Control & Fleet

Works Closely With: Operations and Administration Team

Eligibility Criteria

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized institution.

Preferred Profile

  • Fresh graduates and candidates seeking internship experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good negotiation and coordination abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse and multicultural environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
