Job Overview

A reputable healthcare organization is seeking a dedicated Assistant Manager – Supply Chain to oversee the procurement and supply management of medicines and pharmaceutical products. The ideal candidate will have strong procurement expertise, vendor management skills, and experience ensuring the timely availability of healthcare supplies while maintaining cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the timely and accurate procurement of medicines and pharmaceutical items.
• Identify and assess departmental requirements for materials and supplies.
• Prepare, verify, and process purchase orders in accordance with established SOPs and approved quotations.
• Ensure uninterrupted material availability at competitive costs and within required timelines.
• Coordinate delivery schedules and maintain effective communication with relevant departments.
• Monitor and review purchase orders to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Evaluate supplier performance and maintain the approved vendor database.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and after-sales service agreements with suppliers and vendors.
• Maintain procurement records and prepare comparative analysis reports when required.

Eligibility Criteria

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharm-D (Mandatory)
• MBA or additional certifications in Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage

Experience

• 4–5 years of relevant supply chain and procurement experience
• Prior experience in hospital or healthcare procurement will be preferred
