The Assistant Manager – Bank Reconciliation is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timely reconciliation of the bank’s core clearing accounts, digital payment channels, and interbank settlement systems. This role plays a critical part in minimizing financial risk by overseeing daily reconciliation cycles, managing exceptions, and ensuring complete alignment between internal records and external banking partners. The position also involves preparing management dashboards and supporting process improvements through automation and digitization initiatives.

🧾 Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily bank reconciliations across correspondent banks, internal accounts, corporate clients, merchants, nano lending, insurance products, and other financial channels.
• Manage reconciliation of ATMs, IBFT transactions, bank accounts (core & branchless banking), and ensure accurate settlements.
• Maintain strong working knowledge of 1-Link, RAAST, and other interbank settlement systems.
• Prepare daily reconciliation reports and dashboards for senior management, highlighting exceptions and their resolution.
• Ensure strict compliance with the bank’s Code of Conduct and operational policies.
• Support digital transformation initiatives including reconciliation automation and process digitization.
• Collaborate with Internal teams (Business, IT, Finance) for system enhancements and process improvements.
• Oversee reconciliation processes within Core Banking System (T24) and branchless platform (CPS).
• Guide and develop junior reconciliation staff, ensuring high competency and performance standards.
• Ensure strong time management, reporting accuracy, analytical capability, and process ownership.
• Perform additional tasks assigned by the Line Manager.

🎓 Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking, or related field (BBA, MBA Finance, M.Com, etc.).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the microfinance or banking industry, preferably in reconciliation or operations.
