Position Overview
BOP is seeking an experienced and performance-driven professional for the position of Manager Card Acquiring Settlement & Reconciliation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing card settlement operations, merchant payouts, financial reconciliations, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence across multiple payment networks.
Key Responsibilities
Settlement & Reconciliation
- Lead daily clearing and settlement activities across card networks including Visa, MasterCard, UnionPay, and digital payment platforms.
- Ensure accurate reconciliation of acquiring transactions against General Ledger (GL) balances.
- Monitor and maintain the integrity and accuracy of financial records.
Merchant Payments Management
- Supervise merchant payout processes and ensure timely fund transfers within agreed turnaround times.
- Verify and apply Merchant Discount Rates (MDR), taxes, service charges, and approved deductions before payment disbursement.
- Investigate and resolve payment failures, rejected transfers, and merchant payment-related issues.
Operations & Process Improvement
- Support automation initiatives for settlement workflows and Card Management Systems (CMS).
- Enhance operational efficiency through improved reconciliation and reporting mechanisms.
- Maintain strong controls to prevent duplicate payments and unauthorized transactions.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to SBP regulations, PCI-DSS standards, and card scheme requirements.
- Maintain audit readiness and strengthen internal controls to minimize operational and fraud risks.
- Verify merchant account validity before payment processing.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate with card schemes, acquiring business units, merchant sales teams, and onboarding teams for seamless operations.
- Ensure accurate setup of merchant payment instructions and account information.
- Facilitate smooth communication between internal and external stakeholders.
Technical Knowledge
- Possess sound understanding of charge cards, prepaid cards, settlement processes, and acquiring operations.
Eligibility Criteria
Qualification
- Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an HEC-recognized local or foreign university.
Experience
- Minimum 4 to 7 years of banking experience.
- Preference will be given to candidates with at least 3 years of relevant experience in cards operations, settlements, reconciliations, or digital banking operations.
Age Limit
- Up to 55 years as of the application closing date.
