Job Overview

Islamabad Serena Hotel is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Night Auditor to join its Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing nightly financial audits, reconciling hotel revenues, monitoring cashier operations, and ensuring the accuracy of financial records and reports. This role plays a critical part in maintaining financial integrity and supporting smooth hotel operations during overnight shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily night audit procedures and financial reconciliations.
• Prepare audit documentation and supporting records for submission to the Income Auditor.
• Manage cashier control functions, including cash receipt verification and issuance of receipts.
• Supervise cash register operations across sales outlets during assigned shifts.
• Post outstanding guest charges and verify room revenue records.
• Execute automatic and manual room charge postings for late arrivals and previous-night transactions.
• Audit Front Office cashier reports and verify daily financial transactions.
• Reconcile guest ledger folios and ensure alignment with the general ledger.
• Monitor and verify transfers to city ledger accounts.
• Prepare High Balance Reports and other management reports as required.
• Conduct end-of-day rollover procedures and generate final audit reports.
• Balance adjustments, transfers, paid-outs, D-cards, and related transactions.
• Verify overall revenue generated by Front Office and Food & Beverage operations.
• Coordinate with Front Office personnel regarding report generation and approvals.
• Assist in month-end closing activities, including employee city ledger and house accounts reconciliation.
• Ensure all cashier stations remain operational until the completion of the night shift.
• Support operational supervision and perform additional duties assigned by management.
• Maintain compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Ensure adherence to ISO 14001, ISO 22000, and OHSAS 18001 requirements.
