Job Overview

Sitara Chemical Industries Limited (SCIL), Pakistan, a leading manufacturer and exporter of Chlor-Alkali, Oleo Chemicals, and allied products, is seeking the services of an experienced legal professional or law firm based in Pakistan or China to provide legal support on commercial and corporate matters.

Scope of Services

The selected legal professional / law firm will be responsible for:

• Reviewing, vetting, and drafting commercial contracts, supply agreements, and other legal documents.
• Advising on Chinese commercial laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Providing legal opinions on business transactions and contractual obligations.
• Assisting in dispute resolution, arbitration, mediation, and litigation matters involving Chinese counterparties.
• Representing or coordinating legal representation before relevant courts, tribunals, and authorities in China where required.
• Conducting legal due diligence on prospective business partners, suppliers, customers, and service providers.
• Advising on enforcement of contractual rights and risk mitigation strategies.
• Supporting negotiations with Chinese and Pakistani companies and government authorities when necessary.

Qualifications & Experience

• Licensed lawyer in China or an established law firm with valid registration.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial, corporate, international trade, or dispute resolution matters.
• Strong understanding of Chinese contract law and commercial regulations.
• Experience in handling matters involving foreign companies.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin.
• Ability to provide timely legal advice and practical business-oriented solutions.
• Hands-on experience dealing with the laws of Singapore, Hong Kong, and/or the UK will be preferred.
